The DEA Store is Sydney’s destination for handmade homewares, located on Gadigal Land in Redfern. Each object in our collection is chosen for its intrinsic beauty and utility, with a specific emphasis on Japanese and Australian ceramics.
Purpose of role
We are seeking a self-motivated individual with a passion for interiors and objects of beauty to join us as a full-time retail consultant. This role will be responsible for assisting customers both in store and online, while supporting daily operations including inventory and communications. This role is full time, including one weekend work day. A competitive salary and opportunities to develop into a management role are available to the right candidate.
Key attributes
If the following sounds like you, we’d love to talk:
- Experience in customer service and retail operations, including visual merchandising
- Experience in social media marketing/content creation
- Ability to communicate with warmth and sincerity; both written and verbal
- Detail oriented and collaborative
- Willingness to learn and take initiative
- Knowledge of ceramics and Shopify systems desirable but not essential
